Samantha Jo Reeves

Samantha J. Reeves was born in Columbia, Missouri on October 2, 1983, and has resided in Columbia her entire life. She received her undergraduate education at Columbia College (B.S. 2006) where she majored in Biology with minors in Chemistry, and Philosophy/Religious Studies, she obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri Law School in 2009. While attending law school, Samantha was the President of the Public Interest Law Association (PILA), a member of the Tim Heinz 5K planning committee, and volunteered her time to work with Professor Steve Weinberg conducting research for a project in conjunction with the Innocence Project. Samantha was also a law clerk at Harper, Evans, Wade and Netemeyer while in law school.

Professional Background: Samantha primarily focuses on domestic cases including paternity cases, divorce cases, ex parte and order of protection cases, motions to modify child support, custody and maintenance awards. Samantha was admitted to the Missouri Bar and the U.S. District Court, Western District of Missouri in 2009. Samantha is currently a member of the Boone County Bar Association.

Volunteer Background: Samantha is active in the Columbia Community and frequently volunteers at the University of Missouri School of Law, judging mock trials and in 2010 was a guest speaker in Professor Fadel's Client Interviewing and Counseling Class. In 2009 she was a guest speaker at the Boys and Girls Club in Columbia, Missouri for a program titled "Think outside the box," educating at-risk youth about careers available in the community.

I keep clients as involved in their case as they wish to be, and communicate with clients on a routine basis to ensure they are informed of the process and their legal rights and responsibilities from our first meeting until their matter is fully resolved.
