Kay Evans, born St. Joseph, Missouri, September 4, 1954; admitted to bar, 1989, Missouri. Kay Evans is a partner at Harper, Evans, Wade & Netemeyer and devotes her practice to vigorously representing criminal clients in municipal, state and federal court in Boone County and the surrounding counties. After law school, Kay spent 6 years as a trial lawyer with the state public defender's office, where in 1994, she was named the State of Missouri's Outstanding Public Defender.
Kay believes every client deserves professional representation and she works diligently to provide that for each client. During her career, Kay has obtained numerous not guilty verdicts for clients charged with Murder, Armed Criminal Action, felony Assault, felony Burglary, and felony DWI, among others. Today, Kay is a frequent guest lecturer at the University of Missouri law school.
Originally from St. Joseph, Missouri, Kay graduated from Missouri Western State College with a degree in Psychology and Sociology and graduated from law school at the University of Missouri.
