Milt Harper, born Hannibal, Missouri, January 8, 1944; admitted to bar, 1970, Missouri; also admitted to practice before U.S. District Court, Western District of Missouri. Milt's practice focuses on three areas: (1) representing defendants in serious criminal cases in state and federal courts throughout Missouri; (2) representing injured people and their families in accident and death cases; and, (3) handling complex domestic and divorce litigation. Before public service, Milt was a partner in a local trial practice law firm for several years. Milt was the elected Prosecuting Attorney of Boone County for many years. He was on the State Board of Directors for the Missouri Prosecutor's Association handling complex criminal litigation. After serving as Prosecuting Attorney, Milt was elected Associate Circuit Judge in Boone County and served for several years. He then left the bench to re-enter private practice.
Originally from Hannibal, Missouri, Milt came to Columbia to attend the University of Missouri. He graduated from Mizzou with an undergraduate degree and law degree. Milt is a member and past president of the Boone County Bar Association, a member of the Missouri Trial Lawyer's Association, a member of American Association for Justice, and a member of the Supreme Court Bar.
